With 40 years of professional experience, Hans-Peter Huber advises industrial companies, particularly in the Security and Automotive Sectors, on Criminal Law and Compliance Issues of all kinds. He advises Management Boards and Supervisory Boards on the correct conduct in the event of Criminal Allegations or in crisis situations, e.g. in cases of suspected corruption.
He initially gained valuable experience as a Consultant for Criminal Law reporting matters at the Bavarian Ministry of Justice, as a public prosecutor in Munich, as a judge at the Regional Court in Munich, as a consultant for the Federal Council, as head of press and public relations at the Bavarian Ministry of Justice and as head of the criminal law department at the Thuringian Ministry of Justice in Erfurt. He brings his in-depth knowledge of administrative law and political processes as well as the contacts and networks resulting from these activities to his work for clients. He was initially chief legal editor at C.H. Beck in Munich and, from 2000, chief legal adviser at KPMG.
From his work for KPMG in particular, he has experience in dealing with US authorities (DOJ and SEC) and in dealing with Legal Issues in connection with the law governing the auditing profession and the law governing the auditing of financial statements. He has led Internal Investigations at internationally active companies (in countries such as Russia, USA (Texas)/Mexico, the Philippines, Brazil, Greece and the Arab world).
In his work as a Criminal Defense Lawyer, he defends both companies and individuals in Criminal or Professional Law Proceedings. Thanks to his many years of expertise, Mr. Huber is also a sought-after advisor and defence lawyer for uditing companies.
